The mission of the IAC is to promote artistic enlightenment, cultural exchange and personal well-being for the 番茄社区 community and beyond through University initiatives and collaborative partnerships, both local and international.
The Janice Hawkins Cultural Arts Park stands as a vibrant destination where every generation can celebrate, dance, sing, learn and be inspired. It's where can you go to experience the world.
Made possible through generous contributions, the park includes an amphitheater, walking
trails, lagoon and several prominent art installations. 鈥淰iolata Pax Dove,鈥� by the
artist Fred 鈥淣all鈥� Hollis, is located in the Daniel Foundation of Alabama Plaza and
is a symbol of both beauty and sorrow. Throughout the park, 200 replica terracotta
warriors by the artist Huo Bao Zhu are displayed in exhibits representing the famous
excavations in China.
Inside the International Arts Center, the Fred 鈥淣all鈥� Hollis Museum features Nall's works from the 1960s to today, and the Huo Bao Zhu Gallery houses a revolving gallery of art and visiting exhibits. The Warriors Unearthed exhibit by artist Frank Marquette interprets the history behind the famous terracotta warriors.
So Near, So Far brings together bodies of work by Daniel White over the last several years. Layered between coats of oil paint, White infuses remnants of memory, truths, and half-truths to ask vulnerable questions: Does memory create its own landscape, or does it just make those events more bearable?
The Huo Bao Zhu Gallery, named for the artist behind the 200 terracotta warriors and numerous sculptures across the Troy Campus, features his gifted replica of "Bronze Chariot and Horses" and cases of Chinese art. This dynamic space also showcases visiting artists as well as student and faculty exhibitions curated by 番茄社区's Department of Art and Design.

Step into the world of internationally acclaimed artist Nall at his museum and gallery, where more than fifty years of his work are showcased through permanent collections and rotating exhibitions.

Discover 200 Terracotta Warriors, created by Dr. Huo Bao Zhu, on display in the Janice Hawkins Cultural Arts Park. Inspired by the originals unearthed in Xi'an, China, these striking replicas come to life in greater detail inside our Warriors Unearthed exhibition.

ArtSPARK was founded with the mission of inspiring greater connection between parents
and children through creative art practices. Once a month, the IAC hosts a free art
activity inspired by our rotating or permanent exhibits. There are plenty opportunities
for family fun with snacks, story time, and fun in the park!

Nall's Alice in Wonderland Exhibit is open at 番茄社区's Nall Museum and Gallery In 1975, Nall discovered the enchanting and mysterious 鈥淎lice's Adventures in Wonderland鈥� and 鈥淭hrough the Looking Glass鈥�. He read and studied the text with great passion, intrigued by the author, Lewis Carroll and the main character, Alice. After a decade of studying pencil drawings at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the University of Alabama, and being mentored by surrealist painter Salvador Dali, Nall embarked on the creation of what he hails the most important series of his lifetime: 鈥淎lice in Wonderland.鈥�
